2011 LR4 vs. 1913 Bungalow

Today was a lousy day.  When I say lousy, I mean REALLY lousy!  I mean the kind of day where you wreck your brand new dream car.  No, the kind of day where you wreck your brand new dream car into your own home!!
Yes. This actually happened...I actually wrecked my new car into my home! :'(  You see...in Hillcrest there are very few homes with garages.  Our home has a garage...a very tiny garage.  The 2011 Land Rover LR4 is anything, BUT tiny.  Every day I carefully pull my car out of the garage, every day hoping that my mirrors make it.  Never did I wonder if my front bumper would make it. Thanks to this day, this very lousy day, I will now worry whether my bumper is going to make it because today...it didn't. :'(

Not only is my precious car damaged, but the house was damaged as well!
Let's just say, I am going to bed early.
Goodnight all!

Leyla and Eli sittin' in a tree...

Today our playgroup got together and met at Lake Willastein Park.  This is a phenomenal park with great playgrounds, swings, and even walking trails.  It's so pretty because it is surrounded by lots of water. It's a very peaceful place. We love this park!
We had lots of fun, as you can see:

Eli was a little scared at first, but he quickly remembered how much he loves to swing! :D

Max was just chillin'

Rylan has no fear!!

He didn't understand why he couldn't go UP the slide, instead of DOWN, until a child came barrelling down and kicked him in the face!

Pretty girl!  I <3 her!!

She has the silliest crinkle of her nose when she smiles! LOL

My Lily Bug! :D

Leyla and Eli could not get enough kisses!

Addi the wild child!  This child seriously fears nothing!!

After school, the kids and I went back to Lake Willastein to have some more fun!  The kids loved it!

Andrew showing how big he is!

my baby boy!

Ali was very cautious, as usual! lol

My babies, having fun together! :D
I got a lot accomplished today!  Aside from the TWO trips to Lake Willastein, I went to the Revenue office to register my car and renew David's tags, I went to Land Rover to schedule my first oil change and I also stopped in at Bedford to price some canvas wraps! :D  All things considered, it was a good day.  I am worn out!
Goodnight fellow bloggers!

The Evolved Ape!

On Friday, our playgroup went to the zoo!  We had a blast!  The weather was absolutely perfect and lots of excited kiddos showed up! :D

Here is a picture of Rylan, my friend Sara's son!  He was so ready to get in and see the snakes! :D

We walked around for nearly two hours before anyone needed a break and it seems Addi only needed a break to run in circles!

While we watched Addi, Hadley and Eli run in circles and make themselves dizzy, the rest of us got to visit. Every once in a while, Eli would get bored of running in circles and come beg daddy to play...I got a quick snapshot of my boys, "playing"! We are so glad daddy got to join us, during his lunch break from work! :D

Sara and I experienced some slight embarrassment at the hands of a very silly ape!  As we walked over the bridge to the apes, we noticed an ape sitting on the very highest point he could reach, at the top of a pole.  As we walked up, he clapped his hands.  We were super excited and clapped our hands back!  The ape clapped back again...NOW we were so excited we had to jump up and down while we clapped!  This time the ape just stared back at us and we realized, we weren't making him clap at all, instead HE was making US clap!  Here is a picture of the ridiculously smart ape, that put us to shame:

We were at the zoo for nearly three hours and it was time to go get Ali and Drew from school.  Eli was so excited as we pulled up to the school and sister and brother jumped in!  He just adores them.
I had learned of some very sad news that afternoon. A little boy in Drew's class was killed in a car accident on his way to school that morning. :'(
After talking to Drew about it for a few minutes on the way home from school, I realized how sad he was and asked him to choose something fun for us to do, to take his mind off of things for a little while.  Guess! ;)  That's right...he chose the zoo!
The kids and I traveled back to the zoo and spent the last two hours of the day there, before they closed.  We had fun, as always and daddy was even able to join back in on the fun before we called it a day.

Here is a picture of my favorite thing at the zoo:
What is your favorite thing at the zoo???
